Ways you can help
The Community Center & Trust Fund has several ways that you can make a difference in the community. Below are several ways that you can help.
Membership
Your Membership and general donations help the organization in providing the assistance to the Wisconsin Coalition of Organizations and helps in the operations of the organization's activities, fundraising, and administration of all the programs. We are a totally volunteer organization with no paid staff or expensive over head.

Roundy's "We Care Charity Program"
The G/L Community Trust Fund is a participating non-profit organization, registered in Pick'n Save's and Roundy's "We Care Charity Program." This is Roundy's corporate support to community organizations throughout the state Each time you show your advantage card at the checkout line, a percentage of their receipts will be donated back to our organization during the year.
If you shop at Pick'n Save, or any other Roundy's affiliated store, we ask that you register at the stores customer service desk and receive your advantage card.

Employer Giving Program
If your employer has a matching or charitable program that you can participate in, we encourage you to do so. Any necessary forms can be sent in care of the G/L Community Trust Fund and we will take the appropriate action. To contact us please go to the Contact Us page.
The Your Choice Program
A gift to help the participating organizations in the Southeastern Wisconsin Coalition can be made through the "Your Choice Program." In doing so you can make a one time donation that will be divided up among the organization(s) you have chosen on your donor card. You can also indicate other organization(s) that are not participating members of the coalition and they will receive their "fair share" of the donation. One hundred percent of all funds given to this program are distributed semi-annually.

Building fund
The Building Fund is a separate fund to help the G/L Community Center in the purchasing of a community center building to benefit the GLBT community of Milwaukee. All gifts to this fund are strictly for the purpose of the purchase and maintenance of a building.

Silent Auction
Annually we do a fundraising silent auction with our annual banquet or other events. We ask local businesses and individuals to make an in kind donation of items and services that will enhance the auction. We are looking for such items as gift certificates, tickets, or merchandise which you can use as a tax-deduction for your business also. Businesses and individuals will receive proper acknowledgment for all donations

Volunteering
Being a volunteer is not a big job, we occasionally need people to collect tickets, stuff envelopes, and other minor jobs. What wee need are volunteers who can give a few hours during the year. This will not be a full-time commitment.
